St Margarets church is part of the Church of England or Anglican Church. A description of the God we worship is given in the ‘Creeds’ to be found in Common Worship services and prayers for the Church of England.

We believe in one God,

• The Father, the Almighty,
• Maker of Heaven and earth,
• of all that is seen and unseen.

We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.

• He was born of the virgin Mary.
• He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.
• He descended to the dead.
• On the third day he rose again.
• He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
• He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in The Holy Spirit,

• The Lord, the giver of life.
• Who proceeds from the Father and the Son
• He has spoken through the prophets

We believe in

• One holy catholic and apostolic Church ( i.e. worldwide and founded by the apostles.)
• One Baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
• The resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
